With this kit you will be able to build your own high quality guitar flat response speaker cabinet.

The Camper 212 cabinet is designed for the use with guitar profiling or modelling gear, where the speaker profile / model will remain part of the overall sound experience.

If you got some skills, tools and space available, the job can be done in approximately one hour.

To complete your new speaker cabinet you will need our kit and a PALMER unloaded 2x12" open back cabinet which is available here.

This cabinet is high quality German made cabinet , but it still is very affordable.

The Camper 212 DIY GFR cabinet  is especially useful for classic electric guitar sounds.

Since the Camper 212 DIY cabinet is designed to leave a very small footprint on the overall sound, you will be able to listen to different speaker profiles or models as they were profiled or modelled by the gear you use to shape your guitars sound.

The Cabinet is able to amplify the complete frequency range of all traditional electric guitar speakers such as JENSEN, CELESTION, FANE.......

If your profile was taken from a JENSEN speaker, you will hear the JENSEN speaker.

Many players prefer a GFR cabinet over a FRFR cabinet for distorted sounds, because its upper frequency range is limited, if compared to a FRFR solution.

The Camper 212 ideally will be driven by a stereo power amplifier (such as the Camplifier 360), so stereo effects can be used.

However, by installing two simple wire connections to the input jacks you can modify the cabinet, so it can be used as a 2x12" 4 ohms 400W mono speaker cabinet.

Only one input jack will be used and the second on will be left open.

The kit will come with everything you need to complete the job (exept the tools):

• two broad band 12" double cone speakers
• back plate with covered with black Tolex
• mounting plate
• set of screws and cables
• new label for the terminal plate

OPTION:

You can order a pre-wired and labeled terminal plate to switch your Camper 212 between stereo 2x8 Ohms and mono 1x16 Ohms.

The installation process is very similar and even easier, because the tweeters are not used and therefore no holes have to be drilled into the baffle. No wood working skills or tools are required. You even do not have to use soldering iron.
