Guitar Board Amp SHP Stereo High Power
The GBA SHP is the flagship of the GBA product line.
With 2x140W* you are prepared for all band rehearsal and live situations.

*The maximal power the GBA SHP can deliver is limited by the max. power capabilities of the internal power supply only.
That means that power is independent of the speaker cabinets impedance, which is connected to the GBA (4+8+16 ohms).
For example: A single cabinet on one of the stereo channels can get max. 280watts, no matter of its impedance (4, 8 or 16ohms).
If two cabinets are connected to one stereo channel each, the 280 watts will be distributed to these two cabinets (2x140watts).
The bridged mono output will also deliver 280 watts “only”, but it will work with double the internal voltage levels than the stereo outputs and therefore its burst power (power which can be delivered without distortion or compression for a short time) will be more than double the burst power of each stereo channel (1250 watts).

Really does the job..
I paired this with a Fractal FM3, and with a bit of parametric EQ inside the FM3, I was able to get a pretty convincing “Metal” tone. I’m using the SHP bridged into a Marshall 4x12 @16 ohm and there’s enough volume for most any gig.

Absolut zufrieden !
In gewisser Weise war mein Review noch nicht ganz fertig... inzwischen habe ich natürlich längst alles durch und bin (so wie meine Bandkollegen) absolut zufrieden.
Ich habe nun einen deutlich homogeneren Klang, ohne an Durchsetzungsfähigkeit und Dynamik zu verlieren. Das alles klingt nicht nur genauso gut wie beim Gebrauch (eher Missbrauch) meines recht teuren Röhren-Amps als Endstufe sondern wirklich einfach besser.
Das einzige Problem ist, das man heutzutage offenbar nur noch schwer einen Boutique Röhren-Amp verkaufen kann, den ich nun wirklich nicht mehr brauche und der einfach viel zu schade ist, ungenutzt im Proberaum zu stehen...

Umständehalber konnte ich bei der Band-Probe nicht "das volle Programm" fahren, aber der erste Eindruck ist sehr gut!
Es gab tonale Änderungen - die ja im Grunde zu erwarten und beabsichtigt waren, da die Endstufe ja eben um Größenordnungen transparenter ist als mein Röhrenamp - aber in Bezug auf Dynamik/Leistung habe ich keine Einbußen wahrgenommen. Mein Röhrenamp wird sicherlich in der Lage sein, mehr Lautstärke zu produzieren, aber das ist praktisch nicht relevant.
Ich bin jedenfalls sehr(!) zufrieden - und habe mir tatsächlich direkt noch eine 2x12 Marshall Box zugelegt und nutze das Stereo-Feature der Endstufe (die Eclipse ist aber nicht zu schlagen...)

Klingt fantastisch!
Der GAB ist in einem Stück angekommen und direkt in meinem Rack gelandet.
Zur Zeit nutze ich ihn mit meinem KPA, direct Profiles von meinen eigenen Amps und gehe damit in eine 1x12“ Box von Lutz Kunz.
Und dieses Setup klingt fantastisch!
Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem GAB.
vorher hatte ich als Endstufe für dieses Setup den Amp1, aber der hat natürlich immer etwas von seinem eigenen Sound mit reingebracht.
Tolles Produkt !
Jetzt bin ich endlich mal zum Testen des GAB290 gekommen. Hängt bei mir am Kemper (Rack Version). In Verbindung mit meinen Direct Profilen knallt das im Mono Bridge Betrieb aber richtig geil. Kein Unterschied zum Referenzamp Marshall JMP1 mit ENGL Röhrenenstufe hörbar. Lautstärke reicht aus Stereo Betrieb habe ich noch nicht getestet. Aber live hängt der GAB290 eh am Monitor Out und der ist ja beim Kemper nur Mono.
